With the recent unbanning of Entomb, Dream Halls, and Metalworker I'm curious to see some of the decks where these cards were most broken. I've been curious for a long time about how to find successful deck lists from previous GPs and Pro Tours. Is this information readily available on Wizards site?

Deckcheck.com is probably your best bet.

If deckcheck.net is down, try www.germagic.de, it is basically the same site, but in German. Still not hard to figure out though.

germagic.de only links to deckcheck.net, isn't it?

What's this talk about DeckCheck being down? It's fine right now, and I'm sure I've used it several times over the past month.

DampingEngine and Shawn where are you pulling the old PT information from? Is that deckcheck.net? I've gone there but how do you navigate to such results? Are you searching by PT or format? Do you have to know these decks exist or can you just say give me the Top 8 of the last 10 years of Pro Tours?

Those lists were on magicthegathering.com from this (http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=sideboard/events/ptno03) article. I haven't found a good way to search for decklists on mtg.com, I just found these while wandering around looking at some old PT coverage.

Yeah, basically it's from knowing they exist & searching magicthegathering.com or a general web search. I found the Dream Halls/Time Spiral deck by googling something like +"4 dream halls" +"4 time spiral" for example. Deckcheck seems to go back only to about 2005, which means it wouldn't even have pre-type 1 format separation legacy decks. I actually did think something after I made my post; Entomb is probably banned because of the Worldgorger Dragon deck that was big right before the first banned list was made, and same with Metalworker for the Welder MUD deck. Dream Halls is probably more reactionary to past brokenness though, and I think it was already banned before the format split due to restriction in type 1. I don't know anything about the period right before the format split, so hopefully someone else can tell a little more about it.
EDIT:
Actually I was wrong, it seems that Entomb has been restricted in vintage since 2003, so 1.5 Dragon decks didn't run it. Stephen Menendian mentioned it in a recent article:
http://www.starcitygames.com/magic/vintage/17647_So_Many_Insane_Plays_The_DCI_Strikes_Back_The_July_2009_Changes_to_the_Vintage_Restricted_List.html
I also can't find anything on a legacy deck with Metalworker, but suffice to say, I doubt it was ever broken without 4 Mishra's Workshop to go with it (except in type 2).
