Heading to the Top 8 currently (they're in round 6)

Alix Hatfield (Dunno what he's playing. Probably Aluren)
    Brian Diefendorf (With Belcher)
    Matt Abold (With Survival. Lame.)
    John Lacosse
    Jeff somethingSky with Landstill

As far as I can tell, all other Froggers are out of contention, with Alix and Brian both drawing into top 8. Alix mentioned a couple other people whose names I've forgotten in the past thirty seconds. It sounds like there's only one actual top 8 slot open.

My wife had a bridal shower to attend and I got stuck taking my son to his T-Ball team photo and opening ceremony. Yeah, I caught the shaft.

To make matters worse, my wife said that the limo for the shower got a flat. It got fixed, then 5 miles later it got another flat! They then cancelled the shower since they missed the planned wine tour.

And then, at the T-Ball ceremony, I got a phone call from my mother who tells me that my grandmother is going to the hospital since she had a heart attack. She had a 50% survival chance which dropped to 10% chance later in the day. Things are looking grim. Even if I was at the tourney, I'd have to leave it anyway.

    So, yeah, there's my excuse.

Re: Kadilak's Dual Land Draft III 4/28/07

    Top 8 Was:

    GreenGoblins
    U/W/B Landstill
    White Thresh
    Red Thresh
    Belcher
    RGB Survival
    Sutured-Ghoul Reanimator
    43Lands

I assume Alix was Red Thresh. I don't know who all actually won.

DOH! Is there ever really such a thing as a lack of goblins?

I think there were only around 4-5 Goblin decks at the tourny and one of them was circa 1998.

I think there were 5 Gobs decks (I was one of them, BAD CHOICE, but I couldn't finish Bomberman in time). Slay was piloting the White Thresh in the Top 8.

Re: Kadilak's Dual Land Draft III 4/28/07

This is how the Top 8 Played out from what I can remember.

    Quarter-Finals

Mulletus (Survival) Def. Alix Hatfield (UgR Thresh)

Ewokslayer (Belcher) Def. Ta Jugs (43 Land)

Hollywood Mike Keller (Polar Express) Def. ??? (G/R Goblins)

U/W/B Landstill Def. Slay (UgW Thresh)

    Semi-Finals

Mulletus (Survival) Def. Hollywood Mike Keller (Polar Express)|

    Ewokslayer (Belcher) Def. U/W/B Landstill

    Finals

John and Brian work out an agreement, since John's rating is close to 1900 and Brian didn't care about his Eternal rating. Brian scooped to John, in exchange for John's 9th pick.

    Mulletus= 1st and 10th pick
    Ewokslayer= 2nd and 9th pick

EDIT: Trevor beat me to it.

Re: Kadilak's Dual Land Draft III 4/28/07

That seems like a bad split, as Seas are worth significantly more than Tundras, but Plateaus, Scrublands and Badlands all average around the same. Why didn't they just take 2 Tundras, 2 Underground Seas each?

Also, is Diefendorf the most underrated Legacy player ever, or what? How many top 8's does he have now?

1 of the Badlands was BB, as Eli was cool enough to toss it in even with the sub-par attendance. Other than that, I wasn't really in on what was going on in terms of the split. It seemed in Belcher's favor hugely as well. It's almost an auto-win against Survival game 1. I think people just wanted to go eat food, who knows.

I agree, Ewokslayer is a house. I'm not sure if CRET Belcher is really good, or if it was all Brian. Either way I'm taking a second look at the deck....

In my match against him in round 5, there were a grand total of 3 turns the entire round. I think it might be worth looking at.

Also, go go starting yet another tournament undefeated only to get fucked in the ass with a large black cock during the last round and narrowly missing top8. That's 3 in a row now.

Yeah... I think round two when I played him there was like 5 turns the whole match.
