Rashad Miller is doing live coverage of Gencon.
The Vintage Champs T8 is live right now, and then the PTQ T8.
Legacy Champs is tomorrow (Saturday).
“It's possible. But it involves... {checks archives} Nature's Revolt, Opalescence, two Unstable Shapeshifters (one of which started as a Doppelganger), a Tide, an animated land, a creature with Fading, a Silver Wyvern, some way to get a creature into play in response to stuff, some way to get a land into play in response to stuff (a different land from the animated land), and one heck of a Rube Goldberg timing diagram.”

How many total players were there? Do we have any information on players that have top 8'd and their decks? I saw live that Owen T. is in.
I think they said Caplan aka Goobafish T8'ed
Made day 2 in GP columbus
Best to just ask in the chat. I think they said 170-some players.

Been there, tried that, still casting Doomsday.

Did anyone catch the decks and players in the top 8?
hey emidln howd you do in this one?
Hmm...
1 43 Lands (Awesome)
1 Dredge (Combo, good)
1 Geddon Stax (good)
3 Counterbalance
2 UGR TempoThresh
That seems....pretty fair? Counterbalance in 3 decks, Goyf in 5 decks, Force of Will and Brainstorm in 5 decks, and three "tier two" decks? That seems awfully fair, and makes me wonder how many "tier two" decks are simply lacking in players, not power.
Looks like the format is severly lacking in traditional control and traditional midgame decks (Landstill, Aggroloam, Survival, Rock), but that doesn't look like a terribly twisted Top 8.
Congrats to everyone!

Caplan is ridiculous.
Team Info-Ninja: Shhh... We don't exist.

Ben vs Tim (TT vs CB Thresh) had some absolutely gorgeous plays where the Tempo Thresh player came back from mulling to 5. That was beyond crazy.
Ichorid goes to finals against tempo thresh

They split. With Ichorid taking the trophy, and technically winning.
