    GP Chicago predictions

    Two questions:
    Who is going to win?

    What deck will win?

EDIT: Oops, think this is the wrong board for this thread, so maybe a mod could move it to the appropiate board. Thanks in advance.

In a tournament with 1230 players i would say you wont see any suprise decklists in the top 8. Prob will be at least 3 Thresh Varients. 1 Combo and 4 other top decklists. IE Aggro loam, Goblins, Survival, Standstill.

LSV... he is probably the best player in the wotld right now, and he used to play eternal in the past (unlike most of the other pros).

    2 Thresh (1 w/ Progen, 1 w/out)
    1 Aluren
    1 White Stax
    1 Ichorid or Goblins
    1 Landstill probably with dreadnought
    1 Survival
    1 Team America

LSV wins with whichever deck above he is playing.

Unless LSV has cooked up some tech I think he'll be either playing Dreadstill (possibly UW) or maybe some combo deck. And yes, I too think LSV has a pretty big shot at winning this but there are a ton of good players gunning for him.

EDIT: Also, I think David Ochoa (LSV's buddy) is going to make it to T8. Manuel Bucher showed some good insight in the game in his little profile on Wizards so I think he has a shot too. Rich Shay and Owen Turtenwald are others I think have a very good shot. BTW, no Japanese players, that's too bad I was hoping for some hawt new tech.
