I'm thinking of playing rb Goblins tomorrow at a local tournament.
I've been on a hiatus from Legacy for a couple of months (following GP Columbus), so I'm picking up a deck I know fairly well.

I was there (GP Columbus) standing behind Saito's opponent.
A judge was watching the match, sitting next to Saito and simply did nothing, that is, he did not judge that Saito was stalling (but...
I stopped playing Legacy for a while but stumbled on your report for a reason I don't remember. I planned on spending 5 minutes on thesource to satisfy my curiosity, but I managed to read your whole...
HAhaha ! I don't think anyone is debating that... you were joking... right ?
I was there. I have watched Saito play a number of matches.
I hardly doubt he wasn't aware of Jace TMS' text,...
Agreed about time seeming to slow down when your opponent is idle, but in the case of Saito, he was clearly trying to maximize the time he took for each turn/play.
Looking at Saito reading Jace...
Sorry about the off topic post, but I think this deserves being in the opening post (or not).
This guy seems serious:

I could understand the idea of running two A. Ruins in Extended back in the day when everyone was playing it and EE recurrence was often key in the mirror.
Is this necessary in today's Legacy...
According to http://www.eternal-central.com/?p=453 Mennendian's list is approximatively (copy-paste from website):
4 burning wish
3 show and tell
4 emrakul
4 counterbalance
4 sensei
4 force...
Vincent, can you talk about the Merfolk and Goblin MUs.
Does this deck really have a good MU vs Merfolk (as opposed to other Bant aggro control decks)?
Wow !
Many thanks for writing that up. I'll definitely follow your advice on bars and food. Can't wait !
I'm like Draener, I mostly rely on instinct, trying to use simple deductions to infer what's in my opponent's hand or what play he'll go for (Paulo Vitor wrote an excellent article on this on...
Here's the canonical Reanimator list in my neck of the woods (SGC May 2nd 2010, 2nd place): http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdatabase/displaydeck.php?DeckID=32455
Nice to see another math...
@Tammit67: I agree that against lists playing petals, animate dead and dark ritual, I'd reconsider. Guess I ignored these lists in my argument because they aren't predominant in my meta (but you're...
1. Reanimator plays 16 or 17 lands. Effects that make their spells cost more mean that they'll either have to slow play their spells to not run into Daze + Pierce, which they can't do infinitely...
Post-board against Reanimator, I'd rather have Pierce, Daze + Sprite than Snare, Daze + Sprite.
For the 75-list Enigma posted, the ANT MU is just fine; in certain metas (in particluar, metas with a lot on 'non storm combo'), as Enigma explained, MM makes more sense than Canonist.
In my experience, Jace TMS + having the right counters so that they don't shit their hand out in the early turns + CB@2 is a good plan that has worked enough times for me against Lands.dec to make me...
I approve 100%, Tendrils is not a great call for MM vs ANT for the reasons you stated, i.e. Ad N. can reveal the answer for them easily since they play Mystical/Infernal Tutor.
I posted a list in another CB-Top thread with only 4 Goyf and 4 KOTR for a creature base (see post #11).

I agree with your argument.
The thing is, it doesn't "pitch" to N.O. and doesn't accelerate you into it either (and Exalted often breaks creature stalemates).
Aggo_Zombies, thanks for the explanation. I tend not to go with Trinket because I find him slow but you make a good case for me to test it. That being said, Merfolk still seems like a pain in the...
I tend to agree with you, I'd say either you go with more creatures and NO or less creatures, a more landstill-ish shell and Thopter-Meek. I don't see other viable alternatives currently being played...
I played at the same tournament as Enigma finishing 9th (I played the same list, being part of the same playtest group).
I agree with the idea of a 4 Finks SB since I had a similar experience as...
A local player where I live (Montreal) has had success with the following build. I'm posting it here to inform you guys, but don't count on me to debate card choices... just food for thought.

It can also give you wins vs. Lands.dec...
The Mother of Runes suggestion kind of makes me want to dance...
Seriously, you already use CB-Top to protect your threats and playing Mother seems...
